YEP News partners with the Journalism Trust Initiative to promote trustworthy journalism across Europe

28 mai 2025

YEP News, an innovative news aggregator from Public Service Media (PSM), is partnering with the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) to highlight JTI-certified media on its platform and expand access to trusted newsrooms.

YEP News, which builds on the success of A European Perspective, is an online exchange of quality news content that connects PSM newsrooms from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the foremost alliance of public service media.

YEP News is transforming how audiences engage with journalism. In response to a fragmented media landscape and changing consumption habits, the platform delivers curated, reliable content tailored to the way people consume news today. Eleven public service media organisations currently contribute to YEP News, with more expected to join.

This new partnership with JTI - an ISO standard developed by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) together with 130 news organizations - marks a step forward in broadening the scope of YEP News beyond European public service media. It paves the way for JTI-certified newsrooms to feature on the platform, reinforcing YEP News’s commitment to trustworthy, pluralistic journalism. Both RSF and YEP News share a mission to support media freedom, independence, and integrity; values that lie at the heart of this collaboration.
